How to Connect Your Instagram Account

It takes less than 2 minutes. No technical setup needed.

Before you start

Your Instagram account must be a Professional account (Business or Creator). Personal accounts cannot receive automated messages — this is an Instagram requirement, not ours.

If your account is still Personal:

Open Instagram → Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to Professional account → Choose Business → Done.

    Go to Accounts

    Click Accounts in the left menu of your Heoxify dashboard, then click Connect Instagram (purple button, top right).

    Log in to Instagram

    Instagram's official login screen will open. Enter your Instagram username and password.

    This is Instagram's own secure page — Heoxify never sees your password.

    Grant permissions

    Instagram will ask if you want to share your account info with Heoxify. Click Allow to let Heoxify read and reply to your DMs.

    You're connected

    You'll be redirected back to Heoxify. Your Instagram account will appear in the Accounts page. Now go to Instagram AI and create your first bot.

Troubleshooting

I don't see my account after connecting
Refresh the page. If the account still doesn't appear, try disconnecting and reconnecting — go to Accounts, click the account, choose Remove, then connect again.
I get a permissions error
Make sure your Instagram is a Professional account (Business or Creator), not a Personal account. Personal accounts are not supported by Instagram's messaging API.
I have multiple Instagram accounts
You can connect multiple accounts depending on your plan. Repeat the same steps for each account — go to Accounts → Connect Instagram for each one.
My bot is connected but not responding
Make sure you've set up a bot in the Instagram AI section and that the bot is assigned to your account. Also check that the bot is enabled (toggle is on). If the issue persists, try the Test bot button in the bot settings.
The login button doesn't open Instagram
Check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups. Try in a different browser or disable any pop-up blocking extensions. Also make sure you're logged in to the correct Instagram account in your browser before starting.
